All nurses and patient care staff receive comprehensive training and orientation, which is individually tailored for each new team member. Our Education team is dedicated to ensuring all staff are given the tools they need to be successful.

Nursing preceptors receive specialized mentor training to make sure our nurses have the best learning experience possible.

Nursing Career Advancement Programs

MED/SURG Nurse Residency

Making the leap from nursing school to professional practice can be overwhelming. The Med/Surg Nurse Residency Program at Singing River Health System will give you the skills you need to be successful in your transition. This two-year program provides continuous mentoring and opportunities for professional development.

Critical Care Internship

Singing River Health System offers advanced training for nurses wanting to join our Critical Care team in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care. This program requires a 24-month commitment.

Opportunities for nursing students

Our Nurse Tech and Graduate Nurse Tech Programs provide opportunities for nursing students to join our team. These flexible, part-time or full-time positions allow students to receive hands-on training and experience while finishing school and preparing to take the NCLEX.
