Singing River Health System Celebrates National Hospital Week

Singing River Health System employees are celebrating National Hospital Week May 8-14. National Hospital Week celebrates hospitals and the women and men who support the health and well-being of their communities through dedication and compassionate care from the heart. As part of the celebration, employees are being treated to activities throughout the week including an employee picnic and a pancake cook-off.

With more than 2,500 employees, Singing River Health System is one of the largest health care providers on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and is one of the largest employers in Jackson County. More than 200 physicians make up the Medical Staff, and approximately 200 volunteers are associated with the Health System.

Singing River Health System is a community health system comprised of two state-of-the-art hospitals – Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula and Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs, primary care medical clinics and more than 30 award winning specialized service lines. Singing River Health System exists to improve the quality of life in our community by delivering quality health care and wellness services. For more than 85 years Singing River Health System has compassionately cared for the citizens of Jackson County and southern Mississippi and Alabama.

Recently, Singing River Health System celebrated Health System employees for the Best in Mississippi, ranking Singing River Health System as number one on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for overall hospital care, one of 58 total CareChex Quality Awards received this year. Singing River Health System has been recognized as the number one provider in Mississippi for Medical Excellence in Pulmonary Care and Heart Failure Treatment, along with ranking number one in the state for Patient Safety in Vascular Surgery.
