Caleb Andrew Peyton, MD, received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at UAMS – the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Dr. Peyton graduated Summa Cum Laude from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, majoring in Psychology.
While in training, Dr. Peyton spent two weeks on the Amazon River in Peru establishing “popup” clinics for native tribes; medical services some of them would receive the entire year. Here in the states, he volunteered to tutor disadvantaged 7th and 8th graders in Mathematics, Science, and English. Outside of the hospital he enjoys all things sports – disc golf, basketball, tennis, whiffle ball, watching/following his favorite sports teams, and traveling!
