Singing River is one of only 323 hospitals nationwide—and the only health system along the Mississippi Gulf Coast—to receive this prestigious recognition for providing superior, evidence-based care to patients experiencing heart attacks, as outlined by American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association clinical guidelines.
“This recognition reflects the commitment of our entire team to delivering fast, effective and lifesaving care when every second matters. We are proud to set the standard for heart care on the Gulf Coast.”

To earn the prestigious platinum level award, all three hospital locations demonstrated sustained achievement in the Chest Pain – MI Registry over two consecutive years (2023 and 2024) and consistently performed at the highest levels on specific performance measures. These include timely intervention, appropriate medication use, referrals to cardiac rehabilitation, and smoking cessation counseling.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 800,000 Americans suffer a heart attack each year. The Chest Pain – MI Registry helps hospitals deliver care aligned with the most current, science-based guidelines and sets a national standard for improving the quality, safety and outcomes of care for patients with coronary artery disease—particularly those at high risk.
To support timely access to expert care, Singing River Cardiology offers services at four convenient locations—in Biloxi, Gulfport, Ocean Springs and Pascagoula—ensuring patients across the Mississippi Gulf Coast have access to advanced cardiovascular care close to home.
