As a community owned and operated health care system, Singing River is dedicated to providing access to health care services for everyone in our community. We’ve outlined some of the support services that community members may take advantage of to get help and improve their daily lives.

Support Groups

Experience the comfort in speaking with others who are living a similar experience. Support Groups are offered throughout Singing River Health System and include:

  • Bereavement
  • Breastfeeding
  • Cancer
  • Stroke
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • and more

Therapy Dogs

Brighten a hospital stay with a visit from a therapy dog from Pet Assisted Wellness Services (PAWS).


If you are a resident of Jackson County, you qualify for free transportation to any medical appointment in our area through Singing River Health System’s Patient Transportation Program. Our fleet is handicap accessible and will take you door-to-door to your destination.

Cancer Patient Navigator Program

If you are a patient of Singing River Health System’s Regional Cancer Center, our Cancer Patient Support Services can help you manage your treatment programs and assist you with needs such as finding transportation, making appointments, talking to your doctor, making financial arrangements, and obtaining emotional support.

Singing River Foundation

Do you have an emergency medical need but are unable to pay for it? Singing River Health System Foundation provides direct, emergency assistance to individuals. Visit us to find out more about what kind of direct assistance we offer and how to apply.
