Biography
Dr. Eric Plott is an accomplished gastroenterologist and decorated member of the United States Armed Forces.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Auburn University in Mechanical Engineering and Doctor of Medicine from the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland, Dr. Plott brings a high level of expertise and quality in gastroenterological care to Singing River Health System.
Dr. Plott served as Chief Consultant to the US Air Force Surgeon General for Gastroenterology from 2016-2018 and has performed more than 8,000 endoscopic procedures during his career.
Dr. Plott is trained to address a wide variety of digestive health issues and is credentialed in:
- Upper endoscopy
- Enteroscopy (including balloon assisted)
- Colonoscopy (including laparoscopic assisted)
- Capsule endoscopy
- Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
- Esophageal manometry
- Esophageal pH testing
- Percutaneous liver biopsy
