Biography
Christopher Cheng, MD is an orthopedic surgeon with Singing River Orthopedics in Ocean Springs and Pascagoula. He provides comprehensive care for orthopedic injuries and conditions, with specialized expertise in hand, wrist, elbow, and peripheral nerve surgery.
Dr. Cheng treats a broad range of upper extremity conditions, including fractures, tendon and nerve injuries, trigger finger, Dupuytren’s disease, hand and wrist arthritis, thumb ligament injuries, as well as congenital and post-stroke spasticity. He also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex nerve compression disorders in both the upper and lower extremities including carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, common peroneal nerve compression, as well as nerve irritation following total hip and total knee replacement.
Dr. Cheng completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He then completed fellowship training in Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, working under internationally recognized leaders in hand surgery, including past and present presidents of the American Association for Hand Surgery.
He is excited to join the Singing River team and is committed to providing exceptional care to patients throughout Ocean Springs, Pascagoula, and the greater Mississippi Gulf Coast.
