About Sunset on Cancer
Aid for Cancer Patients
The event raises money for Singing River Foundation’s Cancer Fund and the American Cancer Society. These funds help provide essential aid to cancer patients, including help with medications, dental work, transportation, and improvements to our Cancer Centers.
Celebrating Survivors
In conjunction with our fundraising efforts, our goal at this event is to raise awareness and honor the many people in our community who are affected with all types of malignancies and to celebrate all of our survivors.
Race Registration Information
Register by September 12, 2025 to guarantee your t-shirt and race bag on race day.
Early Registration
- $25 for 5K Run/Walk
- $15 for students (must show ID at pick-up)
- $15 for 1 Mile Fun Run
- $35 for combo 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
- $20 for 5K team (no same day registration for teams)
Late Registration & Packet Pickup
- 2:00 PM on Race Day
- $30 for 5K Run/Walk
- $20 for 1 Mile Fun Run
Awards
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners, as well as the top three finishers in each 5-year age division of the 5K. Fun Run awards will go to the top children in the 1-Mile race, with categories for ages 10–12, 7–9, and 6 & under.
