Singing River Health System (“SRHS”) is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the mySingingRiver patient portal Web site and app and governs data collection and usage. By using the mySingingRiver patient portal website and app, you consent to the data practices described in this statement. The SRHS Notice of Privacy Practices describes how your medical information is used and disclosed by SRHS and is incorporated here by reference.
Collection of Your Personal Information
When you use the mySingingRiver patient portal, SRHS collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address, telephone number, ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, access times, and account activity. This information is used by SRHS for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the mySingingRiver.

mySingingRiver may interact with your sensitive data to provide certain features, such as video visits or mobile appointment check-in. The first time you try to use any of these features, we will ask for your consent within the app and will only allow you to use a feature if you give consent. You do not have to provide consent if you do not want to allow mySingingRiver to interact with your data as requested. mySingingRiver is developed by Epic Systems Corporation; please refer to Epic’s Mobile Application Privacy Policy for Patients for more detailed information about the limited ways they may interact with your information to make your use of mySingingRiver possible.
mySingingRiver may offer location-based check-in for in-person appointments or allow you to find healthcare providers near you. The first time you try to use any features that use your location, we will ask for your consent within the app and will only access your location if you give consent. You do not have to provide consent if you do not want to allow mySingingRiver to use your location. We do not store your location data.
SRHS collects and uses your personal information to operate mySingingRiver and deliver the services you have requested. SRHS also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from SRHS and its affiliates. SRHS may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.
SRHS does not sell, rent, or lease its patient lists to third parties. SRHS may, from time to time, contact you about a particular offering that may be of interest. In addition, SRHS may share data with business associates working on our behalf to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such business associates are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to SRHS, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

SRHS keeps track of the pages our customers visit within mySingingRiver in order to determine what services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within mySingingRiver to patients whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

With your permission, our App can connect to Apple HealthKit or Google Fit to receive health information and to share that information with your healthcare providers.
