Radiation Oncologist
Biography
Audrey Dang, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Singing River Cancer Center. She treats a wide range of cancers, including lung, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, skin, and blood cancers such as lymphoma. She has special interests in breast cancer, prostate cancer, and tumors of the brain and central nervous system. Dr. Dang also treats certain noncancerous conditions, including arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), vestibular schwannomas, meningiomas, keloids, and osteoarthritis.
Dr. Dang works closely with surgeons, medical oncologists, and other members of the cancer care team to develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient. Her research has explored ways to shorten the standard course of radiation for prostate cancer using stereotactic body radiation therapy, or SBRT, as well as new approaches to treating head and neck cancers.
Dr. Dang earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Tulane University. She completed an Internal Medicine internship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation and a Radiation Oncology residency at UCLA, where she served as Chief Resident.
Before joining Singing River, Dr. Dang was an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at Tulane Cancer Center and held leadership roles in medical education and cancer research. She has presented her research at national and international medical conferences, contributed to numerous published studies, and received a Radiosurgery Society award for her prostate cancer research.
