Biography
Brandon Coats, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician providing primary care for patients at Singing River Medical Clinic in Ocean Springs. He focuses on helping patients stay healthy through preventive care while also diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and managing chronic conditions. Dr. Coats believes in listening carefully to each patient’s concerns and building lasting relationships.
Dr. Coats completed his Family Medicine Residency at East Central Mississippi Health Network, where he received comprehensive training in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, women’s health, pediatrics, geriatrics, and inpatient and outpatient care. Throughout his residency, he cared for patients with a wide range of medical needs while providing continuity of care in the family medicine clinic.
Before earning his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Coats completed a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. His healthcare background also includes experience in cardiovascular care at Huntsville Hospital and behavioral health, providing him with a well-rounded understanding of patients’ physical and mental health needs.
Dr. Coats is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Family Medicine.
