Get the Most From Physical Therapy
The single most important thing that you can do as a patient in physical therapy is to be consistent with performance of the exercises. Patients who diligently perform their home exercise programs and follow the instructions of their therapist tend to have the best results.
Another way to get a great outcome is to communicate with your therapist about how the treatment affected you. Did you have more or less pain? Can you do more around your home? Or, maybe you’re getting really sore. You will also want to be open minded to suggestions that the therapist may have on how to prevent future injuries.
Your therapist is your coach and cheerleader to help you get your best outcomes.
