Singing River Health System Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center Recognized Among Nation’s Top Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities  

Singing River Health System is proud to announce that its Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center (CRC) has been ranked among the top 10 percent of inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs) in the nation by Netsmart Technologies, Inc. (Netsmart) three years in a row. The recognition is based on patient cases discharged between October 2024 and September 2025.  

The ranking places Singing River among 892 qualifying inpatient rehabilitation facilities evaluated through Netsmart’s Program Evaluation Model (PEM), a nationally recognized performance measurement tool that assesses quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes. 

“Receiving this recognition for the third year in a row reflects the dedication and compassion our rehabilitation team brings to patients every day,” said Wendie Hawkins, DPT, Lifepoint Health Program Director at Singing River Health System. “Our goal is to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through personalized, patient-centered care. Being recognized among the top programs in the country is an incredible honor for our team and the patients we serve.” 

The PEM Version 3 Report Card evaluates inpatient rehabilitation facilities nationwide using patient outcomes and quality measures focused on effectiveness, efficiency, timeliness, and patient-centered care. Singing River Health System ranked among the top 10% of inpatient rehabilitation facilities in the nation based on a composite score comparing Medicare and non-Medicare patient data collected over a 12-month period. 

Presented annually by UDSMR and Netsmart, the award highlights rehabilitation programs that demonstrate excellence in patient outcomes and quality of care. This marks the eighteenth year the organizations have honored top-performing inpatient rehabilitation facilities across the country.
