Biography
Dr. Matthew Auten is a Hematopathologist at Singing River Health System. Dr. Auten brings to the system’s laboratory and pathology team his expertise and special training in the diagnosis of infections and diseases of the blood, lymph nodes, and bone marrow.
Dr. Auten studied at LSU in Baton Rouge as an undergraduate and then continued his studies at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where he received a PhD in Microbiology and his Doctor of Medicine. Wishing to further specialize, he pursued a Residency in Pathology, followed by a Fellowship in Hematopathology at West Virginia School of Medicine.
