Biography

Dr. Nate Davis is an Emergency Medicine Physician providing high quality care to patients in Singing River Emergency Departments across the Health System.

Dr. Davis graduated with honors from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, where he was a member of the Track & Field team and the 2008 SCAC Conference Champion football team. He then continued his studies at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he first received a Master of Science in Biomedical Science, followed by is Doctor of Medicine and finally his Emergency Medicine Residency. Dr. Davis holds many advanced certifications in life support and trauma care.

Dr. Davis is also a decorated member of the U.S. Army, and currently serves as a Battalion Surgeon in the U.S. Army National Guard. He has a passion for community service, having served as a tutor and even creating his own organization called “Muscles Build Wells,” which enables individuals to raise money through weightlifting to build much-needed wells in Africa.

Fun fact: During field biology trips to the Southwestern United States in 2009-2011, Dr. Davis and his group discovered an entirely new species of tarantula.
