Singing River Mobile Clinic Brings Healthcare Services to Moss Point
Singing River Health System is bringing healthcare to the Moss Point community with its Mobile Clinic, which will begin making scheduled visits to the Community Action Center in Moss Point on September 23.
The Mobile Clinic expands Singing River’s ability to provide primary and preventive healthcare to where people live and work, with services tailored to the needs of each community.
The Mobile Clinic will be at the Community Action Center in Moss Point from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the following dates:
- September 23
- October 21
- November 19
- December 17
No appointment is needed. Community members can walk up to the Mobile Clinic during scheduled visits to receive services.
Services include:
- Primary care for adults and families
- Care for common illnesses and minor health concerns
- Diabetes and blood pressure care
- Preventive screenings and wellness checks
- Immunizations and vaccines
- Medication management
- Women’s health and wellness
- Nutrition and healthy lifestyle guidance
“Healthcare works best when people can access it when and where they need it,” said Mary Lord, director of Population Health at Singing River Health System. “The Mobile Clinic gives us another way to bring preventive care into the community and help people address health concerns before they become more serious.”
The Mobile Clinic also expands Singing River’s ability to partner with local employers to support the health and well-being of their workforce. Services can include primary care and walk-in care, health fairs, flu vaccinations, educational presentations, and other on-site health services tailored to the needs of each organization.
Through these employer partnerships, Singing River can also connect businesses with occupational health services available through its Cedar Lake Medical Clinic, led by Dr. Tana Cooper and Dr. Raymond Beiner. Services include physicals, drug testing, and workers’ compensation services.
“Employers are looking for meaningful ways to support the health of their employees, and we can bring services directly to them,” said Brett Burdine, director of Business Development at Singing River Health System. “By making preventive care and healthcare services more accessible, we can help address some of the reasons people delay care while giving local businesses another resource for supporting a healthier workforce.”
The Mobile Clinic is part of Singing River’s broader efforts to expand access to primary and preventive care throughout the communities it serves. Services can be customized based on the needs of a community, employer, or organization.
