Ask your doctor for a referral for a CT scan at Singing River. Appointments required. No referral needed. After-hours appointments are available.
Screenings are recommended for people who:
- Are aged 50-80 and
- Smoke currently or have quit within the past 15 years and
- Have at least a 20-pack-year* smoking history (or equivalent)
*Defined as packs of cigarettes smoked per day, multiplied by the number of years smoked. Example: one pack a day for 20 years or two packs a day for 10 years.
Singing River Foundation may cover out-of-pocket costs for qualifying patients in need. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis.
