Get Screened for Colon and Rectal Cancer

1

Meet With a Primary Care Provider

Talk to your Primary Care Provider (PCP) about screening options for colon and rectal cancer.

2

Choose Your Screening Methods

Your PCP will recommend screening options, which may include:

  • Genetic testing like MyRisk
  • Stool testing like Cologuard
  • Referral to a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy

3

Complete Your Screening

Stool studies may be completed at your PCP’s office or at home, and colonoscopies are performed at our state-of-the-art endoscopy centers.

No PCP? No Problem.

Establish care with a primary care provider at any of our eight medical clinics across the coast. Call the clinic of your choice or make a first appointment online.

Singing River is the state of Mississippi’s only American College of Surgeons-accredited program for rectal cancer.

Hospitals accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer focus on providing rectal cancer care by a team of experts, which leads to better results, fewer cases of the cancer coming back, longer lives, and ten percent lower mortality rates than non-accredited hospitals.
