Biography

Cherie Champagne, MD, BSN is an Interventional Cardiologist serving patients along the Mississippi Gulf Coast with the best in heart care. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr. Champagne is a Coast native who began her formal medical training at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She continued her studies at the University of South Alabama, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, followed by her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Champagne then completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she decided to pursue Clinical Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships.

Throughout her studies, Dr. Champagne maintained an impeccable GPA while giving of herself through leadership and service activities. As such, Dr. Champagne has been the recipient of numerous awards, accolades, and honors.

Dr. Champagne is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association. In her free time, Dr. Champagne enjoys exercising, spending time with her dogs, boating, and trying new foods and restaurants.
