Biography
Elizabeth Heroux is a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant at Singing River Endocrinology, treating patients with a wide range of endocrine conditions. She excels in providing personalized care for individuals with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and osteoporosis.
Elizabeth is certified in Comprehensive Care for Persons with Diabetes by the Endocrine Society and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. She crafts individual glycemic management plans for her patients that may include the installation of and assistance with continuous glucose monitors, dietary guidance, personalized goal setting for nutrition and weight loss, management of insulin pumps, and insulin dosage.
Elizabeth holds a Master of Health Science from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center’s Physician Associate Program, as well as a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health Science from New York Medical College. She is an Air Force Veteran who has served in a variety of capacities related to public health, including as a Mental Health Technician and Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor.
Elizabeth is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
