Biography
Dr. Johnny Sanabria-Lopez is a board-certified neurologist who is proud to join Singing River Health System as a specialist in Headache and Facial Pain. He brings years of experience treating a wide range of neurological conditions, with a special focus on helping patients who suffer from migraines, facial pain, and other complex headache disorders. Known for his patient-centered approach, Dr. Sanabria-Lopez takes time to listen, understand each individual’s symptoms, and build a personalized plan for relief and recovery.
Dr. Sanabria-Lopez completed his neurology residency at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and went on to receive advanced fellowship training in Headache and Facial Pain Medicine at the University of South Florida. He has performed thousands of specialized procedures, including Botox treatments, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections, to help manage and reduce pain for patients with chronic and difficult-to-treat conditions.
Before joining Singing River, Dr. Sanabria-Lopez served as Chief of Neurology at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. In addition to providing expert care, he was also a trusted educator, serving as an Assistant Professor of Neurology and site director for medical student training. His leadership in both clinical care and medical education shows his commitment to advancing the field of neurology and delivering the highest standard of care to his patients.
With deep experience, advanced training, and a warm, compassionate approach, Dr. Sanabria-Lopez is dedicated to helping patients feel heard, supported, and on the path to better health.
