Biography
Lance Philyaw, DO is an Inpatient Physician providing high quality medical care to patients while they are in one of Singing River’s hospitals.
Dr. Philyaw graduated from Millsaps College with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and continued his education at Mississippi College where he pursued a Masters of Science in Medical Sciences. Finally, he wrapped up his education at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, where he served as an Adjunct Clinical Professor after graduation.
Dr. Philyaw has a passion for service to the community and has been active in supporting causes such as food pantries, Habitat for Humanity, and Big Brother Big Sister.
He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and Mississippi State Medical Association, Osteopathic Medical Association, and Academy of Family Physicians.
