Biography

Michael C. Cunningham, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is an Interventional Cardiologist and Medical Director of Cardiac Services at Singing River. A Mississippi Gulf Coast native, Dr. Cunningham has helped bring advanced minimally invasive heart procedures and innovative technologies to the region, providing patients with access to leading-edge cardiovascular care close to home.

Dr. Cunningham specializes in interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, and venous disorders. He is highly experienced in advanced procedures, including Watchman™, TAVR, MitraClip™, and PASCAL™, offering treatment options that can help reduce recovery times and improve outcomes for patients with complex heart conditions.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Alabama and his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before pursuing fellowship training in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans.

Dr. Cunningham’s practice includes general cardiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart care, and the diagnosis and treatment of venous disorders.
