Biography
Dr. Steve Demetropoulos is a dedicated public servant and former mayor of Pascagoula.
Dr. Demetropoulos earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Demetropoulos worked for many years as an ER physician with Singing River Health System and now works at the Singing River Medical Clinic in Ocean Springs.
Among the many awards he’s received throughout his career is the Mississippi State Medical Association’s Excellence in Wellness Award for his efforts to make communities smoke-free.
Dr. Demetropoulos is a member of First Presbyterian Church and is a participant in the Youth For Christ – Juvenile Detention Center.
