SafeHeart Screenings Offered by Singing River Health System

Singing River Health System is offering Heart Healthy screenings for those in the community who are not seeing a heart doctor but want to know helpful information about their heart health. SafeHeart Screenings will take place on Monday, August 15, 2016, at Singing River Healthplex located at 3101 Denny Avenue from 8:00am to 1:00pm.

These screenings will help identify risk of heart attack, stroke, and aneurysm with these quick and easy tests: Carotid Artery Ultrasound and Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Ultrasound. This screening exam is to assist in the detection of potential risk for cardiovascular disease. Early detection is key. The entire screening takes approximately 15 minutes. Results will be interpreted by a local cardiologist and a report will be mailed to the patient within two weeks. The cost of the screening is $75. Registration is required.
