MGCCC Partners with Singing River to Provide Access to High-Quality Medical Care for Students, Faculty, and Staff

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) and Singing River Health System are building on a successful history of collaboration to provide better access to high-quality care for MGCCC students, faculty, and staff. Beginning January 3, 2022, Singing River Health System will assume the sole responsibility of providing healthcare services at MGCCC’s on-campus clinics in Perkinston, Harrison County, George County, and Jackson County.

Singing River and MGCCC have worked together for decades through joint academic and technical programs, providing hands-on learning experiences and career opportunities for students. MGCCC is excited about the new partnership with Singing River Health System and the opportunity for its students, faculty, and staff to have access to knowledgeable healthcare professionals across the Mississippi Gulf Coast and surrounding areas.

The organizations will be hosting open houses at each location in the new year and an official ribbon-cutting to celebrate the partnership on January 19th at 2:00 pm at MGCCC’s Perkinston Campus | 51 Main Street, Perkinston, MS, 39573.

“MGCCC is excited to partner with Singing River Health System and the opportunity for our employees and students to have access to outstanding healthcare professionals along the MS Gulf Coast.”

Dr. Mary S. Graham, President, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College

“As Nelson Mandela rightfully said, ‘Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.’ This new partnership is yet another example of our organization’s strong commitment to advancing the lives of the people of South Mississippi and those who come here to receive higher education and quality healthcare.”
