Inpatient Physician Services
Our Inpatient Physicians are dedicated to serving our hospital patients with attentive and personal care during their stay.
Round-the-Clock Support During Your Hospital Stay
In 1999, Singing River Health System introduced a new concept in hospital patient care – access to physician services seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
The result is a more seamless transition from admission to discharge between inpatient and outpatient care. Services are available at all three Singing River hospitals.
About Hospitalists
Our hospitalists, physicians specializing in the care of hospitalized patients, have little or no outpatient responsibilities, which allows them to devote their full time and attention to patients who are in the hospital.
Once a patient is admitted to one of our hospitals, the hospitalist takes on responsibility for their care for the entirety of the patient’s stay. Hospitalists are used strictly on a voluntary basis — in other words, the patients and their physicians decide together whether to turn over hospital care to a hospitalist.
About the IPS Team
The hospitalist physician team has over two centuries of combined experience and consists of doctors who are board certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or pediatrics. The team partners with physicians in other specialties, including orthopedics, gastroenterology, and nephrology.
Led by the Chief Medical Officer of Singing River Health System, Dr. Randy Roth, the inpatient physician care team also includes as support team of physician assistants, nurse practitioners and registered nurses.
