Below is a list of many support groups that are offered by Singing River Health System or that take place in our facilities. Many are free and open to the public.

Bariatric Support Group

Singing River Weight Loss Center hosts support groups that are perfect for those considering bariatric surgery, have previously undergone bariatric surgery, or even family members and friends of those preparing for or after bariatric surgery. All bariatric support groups are led by one of our Wellness Dietitians. Learn more about our Bariatric Support Group.

Bereavement Support Group

Singing River’s Hospice of Light offers support groups to explore the experience of grief after loss. Individuals dealing with the loss of a loved one have the opportunity to share with others who are living the same experience. Learn more about the Bereavement Support Group.

Cancer Support Group

Cancer support groups are offered at Singing River Cancer Center for patients and their families at all three locations. Visit Cancer Patient Support Programs to see the schedule and register.

Ostomy Support Group

Join a supportive and informative community where common issues and questions regarding life with an ostomy can be addressed and answered. Led by board-certified Ostomy Nurse, Alicia Steward, no topic is off the table in this group. This group is ideal for:

  • Patients with new ostomies
  • Experienced ostomy patients
  • Family and caregivers of individuals with ostomies
  • Patients anticipating ostomies

Neuroscience Center

There are a number of support groups related to neurological conditions that are held at the Neuroscience Center once a month, including:

  • Aphasia Communication and Support Group
  • Lymphedema Risk Awareness
  • Movement Disorder Exercise Group
  • Parkinson’s Disease Support Group
  • Stroke Support Group

Comprehensive Rehab Center Stroke Support Group

The Comprehensive Rehab Center Stroke Support Group is open to stroke survivors and family members every second Wednesday of every month on Pascagoula Hospital 4th floor – Comprehensive Rehab Center. For more information, contact Singing River Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center at 228-809-5020
