Biography
Dr. Michael Finan is the Medical Director of Singing River Cancer Center, Singing River’s Chief of Women’s Health, and the only Gynecologic Oncologist on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He specializes in the diagnosis, care, and treatment of women with cancers of the reproductive system using the latest technology and minimally invasive procedures available.
He served as the Cancer Center Director of the University of South Alabama (USA) Mitchell Cancer Institute from 2014-2018. Dr. Finan has been named one of the top Gynecologic Oncologists in the United States by U.S. News and World Report.
Dr. Finan was a co-investigator on a $1.3 million NCI funded grant to study a new screening test for ovarian cancer. He is a co-inventor on six filed patents and two issued patents related to this novel ovarian cancer screening technology.
